Shallipopi

Shallipopi, born Crown Uzama on April 12, 2000, in Benin City, Nigeria, is a fast-rising Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter known for his energetic Afrobeats and street-pop sound. He first gained attention by posting freestyles online, quickly building a buzz around his unique style and playful lyricism.

His major breakthrough came in 2023 with the viral hit “Elon Musk,” a song that spread across Nigeria and earned him widespread popularity. That same year, he released his debut EP Planet Pluto and later his first studio album Presido La Pluto, which topped charts and highlighted his growing influence in the music scene.

In 2024, he continued his momentum with his second number-one album Shakespopi, featuring tracks like “ASAP.” Shallipopi also released well-known songs such as “Ex-Convict,” “Things on Things,” “Oscroh (Pepperline),” and “Laho,” which became one of Nigeria’s most-streamed songs of the year.

Besides his own hits, Shallipopi founded Plutomania Records, supporting younger artists and expanding his impact beyond performing. With his catchy rhythms, creative slang, and lively personality, Shallipopi has become one of the most exciting new stars in modern African music.
